There are different reasons building management or local authorities may call for an evacuation. The most common of these being fire. However, because the building has an extensive sprinkler system, a fire is likely to be contained. Therefore, it’s very unlikely that the entire building will be evacuated. In all emergency situations, the most important thing to do is to LISTEN to instructions given over the building’s emergency speaker system; LOCATE, in advance, both stairwell exit doors on your floor; and PARTICIPATE in the building’s semi-annual fire drills.
